Truvada® is an antiretroviral drug approved by the Food and Drugs Administration (FDA), a body similar to the National Agency for Sanitary Surveillance (ANVISA), for the treatment of HIV / AIDS that combines two drugs into one tablet: tenofovir desoproxil fumarate (TDF , 300 mg) and emtricitabine (FTC, 200 mg).

Truvada® should be taken orally on a daily basis and can be ingested with or without food.
